FAQ

What should I expect from chipping my car?

Typical changes from chipping should be smoother starting/running, more power, and marginally better fuel economy. The car should run a little better all around, not just under power. Folks seem to report about ~1 mpg gained, faster starts, and improved throttle response along with more power.

How do I know if I have a gold EZK?

The box itself is gold colored. Normal ones are black and chippable only very rarely. Any EZK without a daughterboard will be chippable with the addition of a daughterboard. This allows changes in the ignition timing curve.

Which ECUs are chippable?

All LH2.4 ECUs are chippable, and we are now supporting both 5XX and 9XX ECUs. Tunes are also now released for the -572 LH3.1 NA ECU!

Do you do custom work?

Yes! Check the contact page for more detailed information.

Do you raise the redline?

I don’t usually find that it is worthwhile, but if you ask nicely (use the contact page!) I can set the redline to whatever you’d like. Buyer beware.

Does closed loop operation still function? Will the standard trouble codes still work?

Yes and yes. You will be able to troubleshoot the car as normal and fuel trims are still enabled.

Why should I trust you?

I have been tuning LH 2.4 for almost ten years now, with experience in street and race applications for both turbo and NA engines. I have been selling chips on Turbobricks since 2020 with a strong amount of positive feedback (unfortunately you do need an account to see, if you don’t want to make one you’ll simply have to assume I am not lying)

Where are you based?

I’m based out of Swampscott, MA.

Any plans for LH 2.2 chips?

Not currently.
